Darktable Photo Recipes
I was a loyal Lightroom customer for a decade but as time for photography gets less the older you get as other obligations of the adult’s life emerge I canceled my subscription couple of years ago and went full jpeg route with various Fuji cameras. I am still in posession of my nowadays rather vintage collection of Canon EF L lenses paired with a Canon 6D full format camera.
Every now and then I dig out my old kit and take it for a spin, mainly in RAW. My workflow is deliberately simple: SD card -> darktable -> minor adjustments -> export as jpeg -> Photos App (macOS). I have little use for any elaborated masking tools, HDR stacking or AI tools to fake a sky that never was present when I took the picture in the first place
That said, perhaps partly due to the Fuji cameras I have developed love for vintage film simulations. Recently, I stumbled across the t3mujinpack on GitHub - an extensive collection of film simulations ranging from Koda Portra 400/800 to more obscure Fuji stocks.
